Tara Stubbs Obituary

BARRE - On July 16th, 2020 the world lost the brightest smile it has ever seen. That was the day Tara Dorilda (Ingalls) Stubbs of Barre, VT succumbed to cancer after the fiercest 8 month battle it had ever seen, at the age of 37. Tara was born on September 28th, 1982 at Copley Hospital in Morrisville, VT to Keith and Tammy Ingalls. On July 25th 2009, she married the love of her life, Lucas Stubbs. On December 3rd 2012, Tara and Lucas welcomed their first child, Aiden Lucas Stubbs and on August 7th 2018 they had their second, Olivia Rose Stubbs.

Tara graduated from Lamoille Union High School in 2000 and continued her education at Plymouth State University, graduating in 2004 with Magna Cum Laude. Following her graduation, she accepted a position at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, VT where she continued to work until her diagnosis, as an Executive Assistant to the CMO.

Tara’s purpose in life was family. She loved camping with her husband and kids at as many Vermont State Parks as they could find, big holiday gatherings with as much family as possible, and never turned down a rock n roll concert with her husband. When she walked into a room, it was impossible not to be happy. Her big smile, bright eyes, and bubbly personality could turn the grimmest of gatherings into the best of parties. That is a gift she has passed onto her kids as they will continue to brighten the world in her honor. She will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her and even by those who will only know her through the many stories that will be told in the coming years.

Tara leaves behind, but will always watch over and protect her loving husband and 2 adoring kids of Barre, VT, her mother Tammy Ingalls and her fiancée Michael Fagnant of Hyde Park, VT, her father and step mother Keith and Jackie Ingalls of St Albans, VT, her sister Magen Ingalls of Alburgh, VT, her brother Kyle Ingalls and his partner Katelyn Dewey of Hyde Park, VT, her nephew Ethan Allen of Alburgh, VT, her niece Zoey Chapin of Alburgh, VT, her mother in law Jo-Anne Stubbs and her partner Terry Hall of Hardwick, VT, her sister in law Jessica Stubbs and her partner Jeff Millington of Walden, VT, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who became extended family, all of whom loved her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Lamoille Area Cancer Network as they helped Tara with her battle and continue to help so many others. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and location to be determined.
