Shane Pudvah Obituary

EAST CALAIS -  Shane Eric Pudvah, a long-time resident of East Calais, died unexpectedly on April 30, 2019, while traveling for business in Albany, NY. He leaves behind family and friends, among them his wife, Manon-Francine Eiker Pudvah, his daughters Natalie Foster-Pudvah and Madeleine Foster-Pudvah, his parents, Audrey and David Bellavance and Timothy and Carmon Pudvah, sisters Erin Preston, Taylor Bellavance, Christina Williams, Megan Warner and brothers, Chad Williams and Chad Dindo.

Shane was born on November 20th, 1973 in Morrisville, VT, and attended the East Calais Elementary School and U-32 High School. From 1992 - 1995 he served as a corporal with the US Marine Corps with a specialty in aircraft ordinance, where he received a number of decorations and medals, including a National Defense Service Medal, Letter of Appreciation, Certificate of Commendation, Meritorious Mast Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal and Navy Achievement Medal. He also served in the Air Force National Guard from 2001 to 2005.

He studied engineering at UVM and Vermont Technical College. For nineteen years he had an illustrious career at Tokyo Electron America, Ltd.  It was highlighted by his work in engineering development, technical sales, customer account management and sales supervision. Shane created key relationships with IBM, Micron and NXP Corporation, which provided significant opportunities for TEL. Later in Shane’s career, he contributed to the Test System business sector by forging ahead with new technologies in Silicon Photonics, Thermal Testing control and recently in 5G testing. Shane’s career was topped off by his technical presentations at professional conferences on behalf of Tokyo Electron Ltd. His talent and professional friendship will truly be missed in the semiconductor industry.

Shane deeply appreciated and enjoyed life, his family, friends and neighbors. He was the kindest of men and the master of many skills. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Shane enjoyed many adventures in travel, skiing, boating, golfing, hunting and snowmobiling, and was the treasurer of the Mountain Tamers Snowmobile Club.

A celebration of Shane’s life will be held on Saturday, May 25th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Highland Center for the Arts, Greensboro, Vermont. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to Natalie & Madeleine Foster-Pudvah’s Education Fund.
