Patrick L. Bolio, 32, of Hardwick passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 after his courageous battle with stage four liver disease. He was born at Saint Johnsbury Hospital on February 25, 1988 to Rollin R. and Huggette (Cloutier) Bolio. Patrick attended Hardwick Elementary, Hazen Union, and Lamoille Trade School (GMTCC). He studied Culinary Arts and Music receiving high honors and graduated in 2006.
Patrick went on to apprentice under a chef at a private airport in the city of Calgary in Alberta, Canada for six years. He returned home to Vermont and worked as a chef at the Greensboro Nursing Home for five years until his health required him to finish. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his loving dedication as a husband and father.
He was predeceased by his father, Rollin R. Bolio in 2006. Patrick is survived by his mother, Huggette Bolio, his brother Scott Bolio (and Sarah Rich), Patrick’s wife, Rhonda Bolio and their children; Dustin, Aliyah, and Stella Bolio. He also leaves behind half brothers; Butch (and Angie), Danny, and Tim, many beloved Aunts and Uncles, as well as nephews; Bradley, Trentin, O’Ryan, and Bentley and nieces McKenna and Paislie.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11am in Fairview Cemetery, Hardwick. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patrick’s memory may be made to the Lamoille Area Cancer Network or the Caledonia County Network. Arrangements are in care of the des Groseilliers Funeral Home.
