Lynn George Lanphear, 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Hyde Park on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Lynn was born on March 1, 1934 in Irasburg to Chester and Mildred (Simino) Lanphear. He was one of six children growing up in Eden. Lynn joined the United States Army in 1956 and following his honorable service, went on to work in the maintenance department at Johnson State College. He enjoyed playing guitar and his talents brought him to the stage of many dances throughout Lamoille County.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leone, his stepdaughter Lisa Chase, and stepson Kelly Chase. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Jedediah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Lynn's memory to Lamoille Home Health and Hospice. Arrangements are with the des Groseilliers Funeral Home.
