Loretta Baer of Morrisville passed away peacefully on February 18th, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Loretta was born on April 9, 1965, and was adopted by her loving parents William and Hilda Baer, of Ridgecrest California. Loretta was one of four children they adopted.
She attended cosmetology school; she loved making people feel beautiful inside and out. Loretta was also a dedicated caregiver; she was passionate about advocating for those who couldn’t advocate for themselves.
Loretta raised three wonderful children: Roger, Anthony, and Brandy. She was their biggest supporter, whether they needed a word of advice or a helping hand, she was always there for them.
She had the biggest heart, the most beautiful smile, and the most infectious laugh. She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She loved her family and friends dearly. Loretta was a fun spirited soul who took on many passions. She had incredible artistic talent. She found comfort and peace holding a paintbrush or behind the lens of a camera, capturing raw nature and using it to express herself. She loved being outside, camping, riding her bike and kayaking. Loretta had a thirst for traveling, she spent many vacations among close friends making memories.
She was predeceased by her father William and Hilda Baer, and her brother Bet Baer. Survivors include her children, Roger Carleton and wife Bethany, Anthony Carleton, and Brandy Carleton. She is survived by nine beautiful grandchildren that she loved deeply. She is survived by her Brother William Baer, sister Annemarie Baer, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind family and friends she cherished.
Loretta was a strong fighter, but she is now sailing on a journey to shores that we cannot see. We know that she is free from pain and is floating peacefully in the crystal-clear turquoise waters of her dreams.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
