Lila Rose (Ingalls) Miles passed away on December 4, 2025, in Burlington, VT at UVM Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 62.
Born on December 14, 1962, in Morrisville, Vermont, Lila was known for her strength, humor and kindness. Lila was an inspiration throughout her battle with cancer. She met each challenge with a positivity and grace that many people admired. She never gave up hope and throughout her sickness, she continued to provide love and support to all of those around her. She claimed we had this and that she had twenty years left, right until her last breath.
Lila had a deep love of spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy was found in the simple moments with her grandchildren, daughters, family and friends. She cherished time spent at her “happy place,” their land in Lowell. In her free time, Lila enjoyed various hobbies, including crocheting, hiking, baking, reading, bowling, maple sugaring, riding on the back of the Harley with Phil, and spending time walking near the ocean looking for seashells and sand dollars. Lila retired in 2023 from TD Bank, where she had worked many years in the local community.
Lila is already deeply missed by her surviving loved ones, including her children Tarrah Martin, Tanya and Jeff Morin, grandchildren Ethan, Ava and Rowan Martin, JT and Wyatt Morin, siblings Colleen Newton, Kathy Langlois, Loren Ingalls, Lisa Warner and Leanna Robinson, as well as numerous sister in laws, brothers in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and her UMV Family. She was preceded by the love of her life, Phil, as well as her father Christy Ingalls, her mother Kay (Lafountain) Ingalls, June Giddings, Richard Miles, Gram Harriet Stinson, and her brother Christy Ingalls.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hyde Park VFW on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 4:00 PM-8:30 PM. Please join us in honoring and celebrating the remarkable life of Lila Rose Miles, whose strength will continue to guide us through this difficult time.
