Our beloved father, John Edward St. Arnauld, 76, passed away on July 2, 2024 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
John was born in Meriden, Connecticut on June 4, 1948 to the late Albert & Marie St. Arnauld. He
attended the University of Connecticut and after college moved to North Danville, Vermont where he
lived until 2004 and worked his entire career as a forester for the State of Vermont before retiring.
Upon retirement, he moved to Virginia where he most recently resided. John was a man who loved his
dogs, college basketball (go Huskies!), riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, watching wildlife, reading
and of course his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his three children, Kathryn (Thomas) Ducharme, John St. Arnauld, and Lydia (Nicholas)
Madden, his six grandchildren Amanda (Jacob) Shoemaker, Natalie Ducharme, Emma and Ethan St.
Arnauld, Daniel and Lucas Madden, as well as his sisters, Susan (Don) Rockwell, Patti St. Arnauld, Nancy
(Dennis) Murray, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved pomeranian Toby.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard St. Arnauld.
Per John’s request, there will be no services.
We will miss John (grandpa) dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with him. We
will always feel his presence in our hearts and know his legacy will continue with his cherished
grandchildren.
