They were married on March 17th, 1963, in Walden, VT by Reverend Bigelow. They were the 1st to be married in Reverend Bigelow’s little home chapel.

In later years she fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a teacher when she began substitute teaching in several area schools.

She was diagnosed with leukemia in 1994, with a low chance of survival, but with the support of her family, her tremendous will, and starting Silver Fox Farm Gardens, growing blueberries, and eating lots; she beat leukemia and became known as the Blueberry Queen. She enjoyed meeting all the customers and encouraging the use of blueberries for one’s health.

Jennie loved spending time with her family, cooking, baking, and sewing for them. She especially loved all the hugs the grandchildren and great grandchildren shared. She was an excellent seamstress and crocheted and knitted many items that were sold at craft fairs and farmers markets. She enjoyed going on rides both locally and further distances. She had a great love of life and just wanted to” keep on living for as long as I can.” Her will and love for Richard are an inspiration to her family and friends.
