Jeannine Rose (Ferland) Whipple

It is with heartfelt sadness that we share the news that Jeannine Rose (Ferland) Whipple, 86, of Wolcott, VT, passed away on January 12, 2026. She was born on July 22, 1939, in Morrisville, VT, the daughter of Paul and Marie Ferland.

Jeannine married her love, Earl Whipple, on August 22, 1959, and they moved to the Whipple Farm in 1976. They welcomed five children over the years: Michael, Mark, Christine, Marcel, and Annette.

While Jeannine was devoted to raising her children and helping at the farm, she also worked at the Elmore Store, Ames, McDonald's, and finally, as a volunteer at Copley Hospital. She was a talented quilter and knitter who also enjoyed her flower garden and watching her birds.

Jeannine is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Earl Whipple, her son, Mark Whipple, and her grandson, Luke Whipple; her brothers, Dennis, Conrad, Armand, Donald, Pierre, and Ernest Ferland. She is surely delighted to be reunited with them.

She is survived by her brother, Philippe Ferland of Hardwick, VT; her sister, Theresa and her husband, Russell Collins of Fairlee, VT; her son, Michael Whipple of Wolcott, VT; daughter, Christine and her husband, Jeff Houston of South Ryegate, VT; her son, Marcel and his wife, Lori Whipple of Wolcott, VT; her daughter, Annette and her husband, Shane Bickford of West Glover,, VT; and her cherished grandchildren, including granddaughters Cassandra, and her husband Dean Akey, Jessica Davis, Leela Whipple, and Ayla, and her husband, Tom Bousquet; and grandsons, Ryan Whipple, and his partner Courtney Rearick, Bryan Whipple, Mark Jr. Whipple, Joshua, and his wife Amanda Stevens, and Nathan Bickford. Jeannine was also a proud great-grandmother to fifteen great-grandchildren.

All who knew her will deeply miss Jeannine’s stern kindness, creativity, and loving spirit. A Funeral Mass will be held on January 31, 2026, at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 301 Brooklyn Street, Morrisville, Vermont, beginning at 11A.M. with a reception immediately following at the Crosby Center.
