Jane Ellen Shanley

Jane Ellen Shanley, daughter of Heber and Evelyn Shanley, died on October 8th at the Greensboro Nursing Home. Jane was born at Copley Hospital in Morrisville on September 8, 1946.

Jane graduated from People Academy in 1965. She was a graduate of the Cosmetology School in Burlington and worked for several years as an aide for the Lamoille County Home Health Agency and as a hot lunch helper at Lamoille Union High School. She was an active member of the Lamoille Valley Swingers Square Dancing Organization and enjoyed cooking and serving excellent meals to her family.

Jane was a kind and loyal friend who was willing to help others and her family at all times. She was a brave soul who battled most of her life with a variety of disabilities.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Shanley and wife, Judy, as well as her two nephews, Kevin and Bryan Shanley. She is also survived by cousins, Betty, Bob and Lynn Flory.

A graveside service will be held by the desGroseilliers Funeral Home at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Morrisville at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 18th followed by a reception at the Shanley home at 235 Fairwood Parkway West in Morrisville.
