Hannah Beth (Ciolino) Eye

Hannah Beth Eye passed suddenly on May 23, 2023 in Woodbury, VT. She was born in Derby, CT on September 14, 1990 and grew up in Naugatuck, CT.

From childhood, Hannah started every morning with Nesquik. Hannah always had a love for the woods; from building tree forts so big the water department had to take them down to “survival meals” of berries, leaves, and bark. Alongside her Uncle Joe, Hannah at the age of 12 decided they were going bungee jumping. She was fearless.

Her love of the outdoors and adventurous spirit drew her and her Husband to rural Vermont. If you have ever had the chance to visit, you know how beautiful it is but how it also comes with a lot of hard work. Hannah and Jonathan spent countless hours building their dream home. Her “legacy” as she would say. They planted 1,200 saplings for her future Christmas tree farm. Each year she counted down the days to Christmas so she could go out and cut down that perfect 150 foot Christmas tree, the one that “spoke” to her.

Everyone who knew Hannah, knew the connection she had with Belle, her best friend, her side kick, the best dog in the world. They were inseparable. And Moose was an ok dog too.
Hannah quickly became a member of her tight knit community in Vermont. She considered working at Heartbeet Lifesharing her dream job. Hannah loved being a part of something bigger than herself. As we think of Hannah in this truly awful time, make sure you see her in the trees and in the stars. Her fiery and tough soul carries on in the outdoors and in all of us.

Hannah is survived by her beloved husband Jonathan, her mother Sandy, father Stephen and Stepmother Elizabeth, her 9 siblings Maegan, Stephen, Julian, Marcus, Liam, Keith, Kevin, Anthony, and Gwen, as well as her, grandmothers, nieces, her godchild Charlotte, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held Monday, May 29, 2023 from 11am - 1pm at the des Groseilliers Funeral Home, 97 Church Street, Hardwick, VT. A celebration of life will follow at 441 North Hattie Belle Road, Woodbury, VT.
