Garland Eric Bowen

Garland E. Bowen, 43, of Johnson, Vermont passed away at his home on March 19th, 2025. Garland was born on October 14th, 1981 in Morrisville, VT. He was a loving son to Bonnie (Sheltra) Bowen & Edward Bowen Sr. 

Garland had a lifelong passion for carpentry. He had an eye for detail and took great pride in all things he touched from mowing to kitchen work, I guess you could say he was a jack of all trades. In Garland's younger years he enjoyed baseball and playing pool. Later in life he took pride and much joy in his Harley Davidson.

He is also survived by his brothers, Edward Bowen Jr. and wife Angela Bowen, Joseph Bowen and spouse Deija Burbank. Garland was also a caring and nurturing uncle to Emylee and wife Sheena, Mekaylah and partner Cody, Nickolas, Landon, Dylan, Noah, Emmett and Freya as well as great nephew Kolton. Garland is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was predeceased by grandparents; Ralph and Virginia Bowen, Francis and Rose Sheltra.

Family and friends may join in celebrating Garland's life on Saturday, March 29th, from 1-5pm at the Charlmont Banquet Room, 116 VT-15 west, Morristown, VT.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 2pm in Plains Cemetery, 182 Needle Eye Rd, Morristown, VT.
