Bryce H. Whitney, 79 of Morrisville, passed away with family surrounding him on April 12, 2025, after a long battle with dementia. Bryce is as born June 18, 1945, to Harold C. Whitney and Milly (Lenton) Whitney in St. Johnsbury, VT
Bryce married the love of his life Marion A. Reed on June 10, 1972, and share two beautiful children.
Bryce graduated from St. Johnsbury Trade Academy and enlisted in the United States Army in 1964. He retired as Sergeant First Class and December 29, 1989, after 23 years of service, receiving numerous medals and awards. He then became a truck driver and retired in 2020.
Bryce is survived by his wife of 53 years Marion A. (Reed) Whitney. His children Tanya (Whitney) Matten and her husband Allen Matten of Newport Center, Ryan Whitney and his wife Skylar (Wells) Whitney of Eden Mills. His six grandchildren Samantha, Kaleb, Skye, Blair, Preston, and Logan, and great grandchildren Sofia, Colton, Laine, and Waylon.
Bryce is also survived by his siblings Ruth (Whitney) Marceau and her husband Glendan, Russel Whitney and his wife Helen, Debbie (Whitney) Ruggles and husband Roland, Patty (Whitney) Hatch, Nikki (Whitney) Young and her husband Ronald, Wendi (Whitney) Willson and her husband Dennis, and sister-in-law Ruby (Bumps) Whitney.
Bryce was predeceased by his parents Harold C. Whitney and Milly Whitney and brother George C. Whitney.

Calling hours will be at Des Groseilliers 97 Church St, Hardwick, VT 05843 at 10am with military honors at 11am on April 26, 2025. A celebration of life will follow at the American Legion Post #7, 51 North Main St, Hardwick, VT 05843 from 12pm - 3pm.
