Arthur Gordon Tanner, Jr.

Arthur Gordon Tanner, Jr. went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2023, at age 78.  Artie grew up in Belvidere and had a special musical talent for playing guitar and singing. One of his favorite artists was Johnny Cash. Nostalgic, western tv shows were a favorite of Artie’s.  Artie had a deep, loving relationship with his maternal grandmother, Frances Smith, and his great grandparents, Harry, and Julia LaFountain.

He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Gordon Tanner, Sr, a decorated, purple heart recipient and by his dear mother, Beverly Eldred and his stepfather, Kermet Eldred Sr.
He was also predeceased by his sister, Beverly, and brother, Kermet.  Artie is survived by four sisters; Debby, Valerie, Pamela, and Darlene.

 A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Belvidere Cemetery. Donations in Artie’s memory may be made to the United Christian Society, 6653 VT Rt. 109, Belvidere Junction, VT 05442.
