Albert William St. Cyr

Albert William St. Cyr, 70, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.  He was born to Bertelle and Amber (Powers) St. Cyr on June 24, 1953 in Hardwick, VT.

Albert was a lifelong resident of the Plainfield area.  He grew up working in the woods, logging with horses and later owned and operated A.W. St. Cyr Logging and Excavating.  In his earlier years he enjoyed deer hunting and was an active member of the Plainfield Fire Department. He will also be remembered for his love of playing cards and enjoyed sharing in games with family and friends. 

Albert is survived by his daughters; Emily (and husband Mikeljon) St. Cyr Mascitti and Amanda (and husband David) Deubner; his grandson and 'birthday buddy,' Mikeljon Hollister St. Cyr Mascitti; and granddaughter Alyssa Deubner.  He also leaves an uncle, Wendell Powers as well as his extended family; David, Rene'e, Matthew, David, Paul, Dore', Shannon and too many close friends to name.

A memorial celebration befitting the life of Albert St. Cyr will be held on Friday, August 16th at 2:00pm at his pond located at 928 Hollister Hill Road, Plainfield. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert's memory may be made to the Plainfield Fire Department, 169 Main Street Plainfield, VT 05667.
