WEST DANVILLE- Morris Herbert Burrington passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury.
Morris was born Sept. 9, 1929 in Lyndon, VT to Maynard Adney Burrington and Doris (Fisher) Burrington. In 1958, he married Dorothy (Salls) Burrington. He drew milk in milk cans for Whiting Creamery until they closed, then for Cabot Creamery until bulk tanks came in. He also worked as a custodian at Danville High School for 29 years. Morris worked as a carpenter, farmed, and after they moved to West Danville in 1972, he retired from Danville High School. He also hauled rubbish for a total of 43 years. Morris had his own small farm and helped run a greenhouse. He and his wife joined the Caledonia Farmers’ Market in 1989 where Morris and Dot sold baked goods, crafts, and plants. In late fall, he would help make Christmas wreaths. Morris was predeceased by his brother, Perley Burrington.
A graveside service will be held at the Danville Green Cemetery at 3pm on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Contributions in his name may be made to the Danville Rescue Squad.
