Lisa Fecteau, 51, of Wolcott VT passed on Tuesday, February 19th, in the comfort of her own home with her family. She was born November 16th 1967 in Hardwick, Vermont to Donald and Ethel Williams. She was the second youngest of three daughters. She graduated from Hazen Union in 1985 and soon after started her career at the Hardwick Police Department at the age of 19 where she served as an Executive Assistant for 32 years. Over the years the officers grew to become her family. She married Andre Fecteau, the love of her life on June, 24th 1989. They built their beautiful home in 1990 where they raised their two children Ryan and Amber. Their home was where they made many amazing memories with family and friends.
Lisa was diagnosed with cancer in October of 2013. She immediately started treatment in November. She fought hard and strong for five years. Going across the country for any answer she could get. She made sure she did everything she could to be able to celebrate big milestones including; celebrating her 25th anniversary, her daughter graduating high school, her and Andy celebrating the big 50, watching her son get married and hearing the news she was going to be a grandmother. She inspired many with her strength that she had throughout her battle. She always made sure to lived life to the fullest.
Some of her favorites were snowmobiling, flip flops, diamonds, kayaking, horseback riding, trips to any tropical island she could, shopping till midnight with her sisters, nieces and daughter, trips to the beach, yearly Maine trips and most of all riding in the 1946 Jeep Willys. Anything that involved her loving family and friends she loved it.
Survived by: Husband Andy, children Ryan and wife Amanda, Amber and boyfriend Adam, her mother and father Ethel and Donald Williams,her two sisters Lori Cafferky and fiance Christopher Bressette and Diana Williams, mother and father in law Patricia and Curtis Spring, brothers and sister in laws Lori and husband Scott Batchelder, Tiffany and husband Jeffrey Perry, and Matthew Spring, along with her eight nieces and nephews Dillan Cafferky, Mara Batchelder, Ashley Brown, Jaden Perry, Alica Batchelder, Jamon Perry, Taylor Brown and Jacob Perry.
Hours of visitation will be held at the desGroseilliers Funeral Home in Hardwick on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 6-8pm. A prayer service will be held at St. Norbert Church in Hardwick on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11am with reception to follow at Hazen Union School.
